A programme was conducted at IFSRS, Karamana on 15th May, 2020 at 10.30 am (as per directions received) to mark the initiation of activities as part of the “Subhiksha Keralam” the programme aimed at achieving self sufficiency in food production in Kerala in the Covid scenario.
The programme was inaugurated by the well known cine artist/TV Serial Actor/TV anchor, Sri. Kishore Sathya by handing over a “Vegetable Cultivation Kit”: developed at IFSRS, Karamana to Smt.Vidya Vijayan (who is currently on COVID duty), the staff nurse of SAT hospital, Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram representing the community of nurses/workers in the health sector. The kit comprises vegetable seeds and bio inputs and is priced Rs.125/- per kit.
